Privacy Policy

Via is run by Legal name (to be added), trading as Ivies. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are responsible for the personal data described here. Questions go to Contact email (to be added).

• Your account: name, email and account type. Your password is handled by Amazon Cognito, and we never see it.
• Candidates: your profile (headline, location, experience, skills, links), your résumé and the skills read from it, your interview recordings, transcripts and scores, and your applications.
• Recruiters: company details, job posts and your replies to applicants.
• Payments: what you bought, the amount, its status and Razorpay’s references. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay, not to us.
• Technical: your sign-in session, stored in your browser, and basic server logs (such as IP address and browser) kept for security.

• To run your account and Via’s features.
• To read résumés and job descriptions, write interview questions, mark interviews and match candidates to jobs.
• To take payments and make refunds.
• To email you about your account, applications and payments. We send no marketing without your consent.
• To keep Via secure and to stop fraud and cheating.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Résumé reading, transcription and interview marking run on AI models we host ourselves on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai. Your résumé, recordings and answers are not sent to outside AI companies, and they are not used to train AI models. Interview recordings are deleted as soon as they are transcribed, and always within a day.

• Recruiters, when you apply to their job: your name, email, profile, résumé, verified skill scores and your match. They do not get your interview recordings or transcripts.
• Everyone can see published job posts.
• Companies that run Via for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting, sign-in, storage and email), MongoDB Atlas (our database) and Razorpay (payments). They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

In India: our servers and database are in the Mumbai region of Amazon Web Services and MongoDB Atlas.

• Account data: while your account is open.
• When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records the law makes us keep, such as payment records.
• Interview recordings: until they are transcribed, and never more than a day.
• Server logs: about a month.

You can ask us to:

• show you the personal data we hold about you,
• correct or update it,
• delete it, by closing your account,
• name someone to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.

Email Contact email (to be added) from the address on your account. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.

Via uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics. It keeps your sign-in session in your browser’s storage. When you pay, Razorpay’s payment window may set its own cookies under Razorpay’s privacy policy.

Data is encrypted in transit and where it is stored, and only the systems that need it can reach it. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Via is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about children.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or on Via before it takes effect.
